When it comes to schooling and careers for my kids I am pretty adamant about my kids thinking about them now. It is never too early and although we know that the actual careers and route they will take is fluid at this point we revisit the topic often.

I found that sitting them down and having “the talk” about what they want to be when they grow up is often met with much resistance. Instead we try to incorporate it through a natural conversation. If there is one way to deter my kids from liking something is to say I like it too, so we usually just try and listen and guide the convo along…
