Invitation to Participate in ESDC’s Teleconferences on RESPs and the CLB

The Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) is reaching out to members of the ABLE Steering Committee, the Research and Policy Action Team and members who are engaged in RESP work/policy.

The ESDC is looking to have discussions on:

  • The level of awareness of eligible individuals in respect of Employment and Social Development Canada’s (ESDC) education savings incentives, so as to identify potential improvements to current approach in promotion and outreach; and
  • The effectiveness of ESDC’s current approach (i.e., products, activities and initiatives) in promoting education savings to eligible individuals, as well as in ensuring their awareness and understanding of the federal education savings incentives.

These discussions will help inform the development of a renewed outreach strategy in support of the mandate letter objectives of the Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Labour to promote the benefits of early savings through RESPs and  to increase take-up of the CLB for low-income families.

The following potential dates/times for a teleconference include:

Monday, October 3rd 10:00-12:00 (EST),

Wednesday, October 5th  14:00-16:00 (EST), or

Tuesday, October 11th 13:00-15:00 (EST)
